Charleen started CTPT (Charleen TeGroen PT, Inc.) in January of 2018 and still believes in the “Care” part of Health Care. Patients will spend one on one time with the Physical Therapist and will be under the watchful eye of the PT for the entire hour of their treatment session.
CTPT values “hands on” Physical Therapy treatments that includes joint mobilization, massage, acupressure, myofascial release, cross friction massage, manual passive stretching etc.
Therapeutic exercise is tailor made for each patient whether they are an athlete, a Veteran, have a desk job, work in construction, law enforcement or recovering from surgery or a motor vehicle accident.
Exercises are designed for patients to duplicate at home or even while on vacation, whether they have access to gym equipment or not. In a smaller clinic setting, exercises are taught using physical sciences such as gravity, ground reaction force, body weight/mass, momentum and leverage.
Strengthening of joints are done in all planes of motion. Postural and Core strengthening form an important part of neck and back injuries. Post-operative protocols are closely followed during rehabilitation after joint replacement or other surgeries.

Inferential or Premodular current is used to stimulate nerve endings in the muscles - causing intermittent muscle contractions that increases circulation in the area to promote healing, reducing swelling and decreasing muscle spasm.
Ultrasound Treatment is also used to reduce inflammation. Sound waves vibrates on cellular level-speeding up cell metabolism and in turn speeds up the healing process.
Heat and ice treatments are complimentary and used for almost every patient. Heat and STIM is used for warm-up of tissues to be followed by massage or exercise. Ice packs are typically used after treat exercise to treatment or exercise soreness.
